SHORT AND AGILE Eibach Pro-Kit, B12 Pro-Kit and Pro-Spacer for the Smart Fortwo So much more than just a little city car – the rear-engine, rear-drive Smart Fortwo has the classic DNA of a sports car. Eibach provides an appropriate set-up with the Pro-Kit performance suspension springs which are TÜV approved. These lower the chassis with the distinctive Tridion Safety Cell by about 20 millimetres front and rear. The result is a stable balance between sporty dynamics and everyday comfort. The B12 Pro-Kit allows an even better driving experience. The Eibach Pro-Kit springs are combined with Bilstein shock absorbers to form a complete suspension system. Simultaneous engineering and extensive road tests have produced a perfect balance between the gas pressure shock absorbers and the performance springs. This creates a finely tuned system with progressive characteristics and impressive driving dynamics. The system also has a TÜV approval. The short wheel base of the Fortwo means that the dropped chassis has great visual impact – the Smart has a lower stance, appears longer and therefore sportier. The optional aluminium Pro-Spacer wheel spacers complete the sportier appearance. Eibach offers systems 1, 2 and 7 for the Smart Fortwo, with the latter already supplied with the matching bolts. For systems 1 and 2 the bolts have to be ordered separately, which is a simple task with the new Eibach bolt search function. The width increase per axle can be varied between 10 and 70 millimetres in six steps.
