Just like its historical role model, the new FIAT 124 Spider also proves that driving pleasure does not require the highest horsepower. Rear-wheel drive and a low kerb weight suffice to provide the driver with a lot of action on winding roads. Also helpful: the low centre of gravity of the relatively flat car body. With its new components for the FIAT 124, Eibach consequently continues this approach. The Pro-Kit Performance Springs lower the centre of gravity by 35 mm at the front and 25 mm at the rear. With this setup, the roadster does not only cut a fine figure in motion, but also shows its “bella figura” when parked in front of a street cafe. With the red Sportline Sport Performance Springs, the long car body can stand out even a bit more aggressively. They move the Italian car, technically related to the also very popular Mazda MX5, closer to the ground by 45 mm at the front and 35 mm at the rear – motorsport feeling included. Moreover, both suspension options can be perfectly combined with the Eibach Pro-Spacer Wheel Spacers which are also available. They underline the confident appearance of the FIAT 124 and perfectly complete the look. Since they are made of high-tensile-strength aluminium, the unsprung mass of the open car increases only marginally, which has e.g. a positive effect on the self-aligning forces of the steering. In addition, the anodisation provides highly effective corrosion protection.
